1.1. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by DriveVision (“DriveVision”, “we”, “us”, “our”) at drivevision.co.uk, and any related online portals, booking tools, scheduling tools, payment pages, chat services, mobile-responsive interfaces, and other features made available through that website (collectively, the “Platform”).
1.2. By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
1.3. The Platform is intended for users in the United Kingdom. If you access the Platform from outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for compliance with local laws where applicable.
1.4. DriveVision provides an online operations platform for UK driving-school services. We are not a traditional driving school that directly employs every driving instructor. Driving instructors are independent professionals or franchise-style providers. Your contract for driving tuition is with the instructor assigned to you, unless we state otherwise in writing. DriveVision facilitates bookings, scheduling, payments, communications and related administration.
In these Terms:
3.1. DriveVision offers an online platform that may include:
3.2. DriveVision does not guarantee that every feature will be available in every location or at all times. We may add, change, suspend or remove features at our discretion.
3.3. Some features may be in test, sandbox or demonstration mode. We will make that clear where relevant.
4.1. Guest access. You may browse many public pages of the Platform without registering. Guests may submit enquiries, request callbacks, use the public chat assistant, subscribe to newsletters, and browse packages, offers, coverage areas and instructor profiles. Guests cannot hold lesson slots, purchase packages, or enter role portals.
4.2. Student registration. You may create a Student account if you meet the following requirements:
4.3. Instructor registration. Instructor accounts are created by invitation or application only. Public self-registration for instructors is not available. Applying as an instructor does not guarantee account creation or activation.
4.4. Service Partner registration. Service Partner accounts may be created by self-registration. You must provide accurate information and comply with separate partner rules if applicable.
4.5. Admin accounts. Admin or staff accounts are created only by invitation through DriveVision. There is no public admin registration.
4.6. Account security. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4.7. Accuracy. You must keep your account information, contact details, address, licence information, and payment details accurate and up to date.
4.8. Suspension and blacklisting. We may suspend, restrict or blacklist accounts where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, fraud, abusive behaviour, non-payment, or other misuse of the Platform.
5.1. When you register as a Student, you must provide at least:
5.2. After registration, you must complete your profile setup, including your full pickup address and postal code. You may also need to confirm your lesson duration and other preferences before booking.
5.3. You must hold a current valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle and lesson type before any practical driving lesson. You must be fit to drive and meet all legal and medical requirements, including eyesight requirements. If you cannot read a number plate from the required distance, the instructor may refuse to allow you to drive.
5.4. You must not take lessons while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your judgement or driving ability.
6.1. Slot search. You may browse available bookable slots based on your location, instructor availability and other criteria. Slot availability is not guaranteed and may change at any time.
6.2. Provisional hold. To hold a slot, you must be logged in as a Student and have at least one lesson credit, prepaid hour, or another accepted booking entitlement. A provisional hold is not a confirmed booking. The slot remains provisional until the instructor approves it.
6.3. Instructor approval. Once you hold a slot, the assigned instructor may approve or decline it.
6.4. Payment requirement. Where payment is required, you may be asked to complete a GoCardless checkout. The booking is not confirmed until payment is successful or the relevant credit is consumed.
6.5. Lesson records. After a lesson, the instructor may record skills, progress, notes and other lesson data. You should review your progress and raise any concerns promptly.
6.6. Change requests. You may request lesson changes through the Platform. Change requests are subject to instructor availability and these Terms. If a change cannot be accommodated, the cancellation policy may apply.
6.7. Instructor change. You may request a different instructor through the Platform. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on operational availability, instructor territories and other factors.
7.1. The Smart Diary allows you to set weekly availability and desired lesson intake. You must submit accurate availability by the published deadline, which may be fixed at the end of each week.
7.2. Smart Diary schedules are generated automatically and may be adjusted by the instructor or DriveVision operations team. You are responsible for reviewing your generated schedule, acknowledging it, or reporting problems through the Platform.
7.3. If you do not acknowledge your schedule within the stated period, your allocated slots may be released or modified.
7.4. Smart Diary scheduling is a planning and matching tool. It does not guarantee that you will receive every preferred lesson window or that all intake requests will be fulfilled.
8.1. Package purchases. Package prices, durations, credit allocations and subscription terms are shown on the package page or at checkout. By purchasing a package, you agree to the terms shown at the time of purchase.
8.2. Credits. Package purchases may add lesson credits to your Student account. Credits are used to secure provisional holds and pay for approved lessons. Credits are not cash and are not refundable except as set out in these Terms or as required by law.
8.3. Prepaid hours. If you choose a Smart Diary prepaid method, a separate prepaid hours balance may apply. Package credits and Smart Diary prepaid hours are separate balances and are not interchangeable unless expressly stated.
8.4. Subscriptions. If you purchase a subscription package, your GoCardless Direct Debit mandate may be used for recurring invoices at the frequency shown at checkout. You may cancel a subscription through your payment settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future invoices but does not automatically refund invoices already charged or credits already issued.
8.5. GoCardless Direct Debit. Live payment processing is provided by GoCardless Ltd. By using GoCardless, you agree to their terms and the Direct Debit Guarantee. If a payment is taken in error, contact your bank.
8.6. Sandbox/test mode. Some payment features may currently be available only in test or sandbox mode. In such mode, no live Direct Debit charge will be collected and no binding payment obligation arises. We will clearly inform you when live payments are activated. If a checkout is completed in test mode, any credits or bookings granted may be removed or require a live payment before being honoured.
8.7. Cash or bank transfer. Some instructors may accept cash or bank transfer. If you choose cash or bank transfer, you must comply with the instructor’s stated policy. A retainer deposit may be required before lessons are confirmed.
8.8. Retainers. If a retainer is required, it will be held by DriveVision and may be applied to cancellation/no-show charges. Retainer amounts are not lesson credits and are refundable only in accordance with the cancellation policy.
8.9. Dual balances. You may hold more than one balance type on the Platform. Each balance type may have different expiry, cancellation and refund rules. Please refer to your account or checkout confirmation for details.
9.1. Standard lessons. Unless stated otherwise in your booking confirmation, you must give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a standard driving lesson without charge. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
9.2. Smart Diary and retainer lessons. If a retainer deposit applies, cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in forfeiture of the retainer or a cancellation fee. A new retainer may then be required before future lessons can be confirmed.
9.3. Instructor cancellation. If your instructor cancels a lesson due to illness, mechanical fault, bad weather, or other circumstances beyond their control, the instructor will offer an alternative date and time. If no alternative can be arranged, a refund or credit may be offered where applicable.
9.4. Late arrival. If you are late for a lesson, the lesson will not be extended beyond the scheduled finish time. If the instructor is late, the instructor will contact you; if the instructor is more than 15–30 minutes late and cannot complete the full lesson, you may reschedule.
9.5. No-show. If you do not arrive for a scheduled lesson, the instructor will wait for a reasonable grace period, after which the lesson will be treated as cancelled and you may be charged in full.
9.6. Package refunds. Packages and lesson credits are non-refundable except where we fail to provide the relevant service or where a refund is required by law. If you have unused lessons, the instructor may allow you to use them for additional tuition, such as motorway or refresher lessons.
9.7. Retainer refunds. Retainers held for cash/bank lessons may be refundable if no cancellation or no-show event occurs and the lessons are completed or cancelled with sufficient notice. Where a retainer is forfeited, the amount is non-refundable.
9.8. Subscription cancellation. You may cancel a subscription at any time. Future recurring invoices will stop. Invoices already collected will not be refunded unless required by law. Credits already issued remain subject to these Terms.
9.9. Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable legislation.
10.1. Instructor responsibilities. Instructors are independent professionals. They are responsible for:
10.2. Student responsibilities. You agree to:
10.3. Unsafe behaviour. If an instructor reasonably believes you are unfit to drive or behaving in a way that creates a safety risk, the instructor may stop the lesson and you may still be charged for the full lesson.
10.4. Driving tests. DriveVision may provide mock tests, test-day planning tools and test-centre information. Unless expressly stated, DriveVision does not book official DVSA theory or practical tests for you. If you book your own test, you must inform your instructor in good time. The instructor may refuse to provide their vehicle for a test if they reasonably believe you are not ready or if insufficient notice is given.
11.1. You must not:
11.2. We may moderate, edit or remove any content you post to the Platform, including blog comments, reviews, messages or chat transcripts.
11.3. By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish and distribute that content in connection with the Platform.

12.3. If you use the in-app chat assistant, you may provide personal data such as name, email, phone number and postal code. You must not send passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive data through chat.
12.4. We may share your information with:
12.5. We do not sell your personal data. We do not claim to be a GDPR certification body; our privacy controls are technical and operational measures only.
13.1. All Content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, design, and trade marks, is owned by DriveVision or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
13.2. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our written permission.
13.3. DriveVision and the DriveVision logo are trade marks of the operator. Third-party trade marks, including GoCardless, Facebook, Google and others, are the property of their respective owners.
14.1. The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including WhatsApp, GoCardless, Facebook, Google, and mapping services.
14.2. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
14.3. If you use the WhatsApp click-to-chat button, your interaction is with WhatsApp and the relevant phone number. DriveVision is not responsible for messages sent outside the Platform.
15.1. No guarantee of success. DriveVision does not guarantee that you will pass any driving test, obtain a licence, or achieve any particular learning outcome. Mock tests and progress tools are guidance only.
15.2. Instructor independence. Driving instructors are independent contractors or franchise-style providers. DriveVision is not responsible for the acts or omissions of instructors, including the quality of tuition, traffic violations, accidents, or damage caused by the instructor or student. Any claim relating to tuition should be raised with the instructor directly; however, if the claim relates to our booking, scheduling or payment platform, you may contact us.
15.3. Website “as is”. The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. We may suspend or terminate access for maintenance, security or other operational reasons.
15.4. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriveVision’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business.
15.5. Exclusions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under law.
16.1. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if:
16.2. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. Any outstanding fees or charges remain payable.
17.1. If you have a complaint about a lesson or an instructor, you should first raise it directly with the instructor through the Platform messaging system.
17.2. If the issue cannot be resolved with the instructor, you may contact DriveVision at the address below or through the Platform’s privacy/complaint channels.
17.3. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and resolve them within 28 working days. If we require written details, we will ask you to provide them.
17.4. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or another appropriate body.
18.1. We may amend these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email, in-app notification, or a notice on the Platform.
18.2. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any amended Terms constitutes acceptance of those amendments. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Platform.
19.1. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. If any unlawful or unenforceable provision would be lawful or enforceable if part were deleted, that part will be deemed deleted, and the rest will continue in effect.
19.2. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and DriveVision in relation to the Platform.
19.3. No person other than a party to these Terms may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
20.1. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
20.2. Subject to your statutory rights as a consumer, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your home courts.
